Transfer Image Workshop with Will from Future Dust Pots ( Saturday March 23rd 12-3pm)
Have you ever wondered how to transfer digital images onto your pots? This class is for you! Sign up for this 3 hour class to learn all about using waterslide decals to transfer digital images onto the surfaces of your ceramics. I’ll walk you through some cheap beginner methods, and then we’ll use my ceramic decal printer to make your custom images* into true black decals for you to apply to your piece. We’ll walk you through the application process and fire your piece for you!
Small catchall tray included for decorating.
Class will take place at Heirloom Ceramics on March 23rd from noon-3pm.
You provide the images by email prior to class, we’ll adjust their size/shape/texture, print and apply them together and then we'll fire them onto your piece for you <3.
Bring your own pot** or I’ll provide you with a plain white catchall tray to decorate. Additionally, plain white mugs will be available for purchase at $30 each and Larger Vases for $50.
*Your images must fit on half a sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch printer paper. This is generally enough space to cover a mug or small pot.
**Please note that if you plan to bring and fire your own pot, it must be already glazed and fired to cone 6 using a glossy glaze, preferably light in tone, so that the black decal images show clearly. We cannot guarantee all glazes will work correctly with the decal transfer, but generally, glossy cone 6 glazes work just fine with our decals.
